We love to dive into the fine details. Our design team is passionate about choosing the right materials for our clients and bringing together the best possible combinations. Whether is a new space or an existing one, we always get excited to know the spaces we work with and propose new ideas that push them to the best possible use.  

We are particularly excited to work with locally sourced materials and mediterranean palettes. 

We consider every new commission as part of an extended ecology, hence we try to push our design towards sustainable motifs and environmentally sensitive approaches. Our certified team provides project specific environmental studies based on Passive House principles from our in-house certified designing team.

Best suited for larger commissions, our design and research team offers masterplan design services and various types of feasibility studies to make sure that each project has the best possible response to current and future challenges. 

These include studies for land audit, linkage to green infrastructure / mobility /neighbouring development / public transports, residential densification, rejuvination and redesign of public cores, and more.

This is where it all gets fun. Studio Banal consider itself as an active ecology by collaborating with other creatives to test new ideas and explore exciting concepts. 

Our services cover artistic direction, concept build-up and visual identity, with previous work in collaboration with institutions and private entities. 

We work with creative individuals and institutions to collaboratively build up  the spatial design strategies. We get excited about ephemeral projects and we have previously worked on  scenography, exhibition design, creative workshops and experiential forums. 

In 2023 we are taking part at the Biennale of Larnaca with an extra special proposal, stay tuned!

We consider every project as an opportunity to explore knowledge on interdisciplinary fields hence often our research work find its way to other outlets.

We are currently involved with various institutions in Cyprus where we love to exchange on local and transnational topics, and we have previously worked on publications with private institutions and academia in the UK, Italy, The Netherlands, France and the USA.
